Report: Britney Spears Signs On as a New X Factor Judge
After two months of continued speculation, Britney Spears has reportedly signed a deal to be a new judge on The X Factor, according to E! Online.

Reports first came out in March that Spears was nearing a deal that would be worth $10 million. In April, when she was thisclose to signing, Spears was set to make a possible $15 million, which is what E! Online reports she'll now receive. The outlet also says that Spears had been working out the finer details of the deal over the last few weeks.
If Spears' deal is indeed in place — Fox had no comment — Simon Cowell will now look to fill the other vacant slots. Earlier this year, the show cleaned house, axing host Steve Jones and judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

In March, remaining judges L.A. Reid and Cowell confirmed that the two judges spots would be filled by two women. Janet Jackson was rumored to be one of them, but she quickly shot that notion down. Among the other names tossed around were Leann Rimes, Stacy Keibler and Darren Criss, though the latter two were for hosting gigs. Last week, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato joined the names in the running for the other judging spot.
