Regis Philbin Interviewing David Letterman When He Guest Hosts 'Piers Morgan Tonight'
It's Guest Host Week on "Piers Morgan Tonight" next week, and Regis Philbin kicks off the festivities on Tuesday with an hour-long sitdown with David Letterman.
"Piers" executive producer Jonathan Wald tweeted the news of Philbin's first "Piers Morgan Tonight" guest-hosting gig.
"You guys: Regis Philbin returns to TV for one night, filling in for @piersmorgan Tuesday. His guest, David Letterman. Must see next week."

Philbin, who left his co-hosting spot on ABC with Kelly Ripa last November, has yet to make a regular return to TV, though he has guest-hosted "The View" and made guest appearances on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," "Celebrity Apprentice," "The Talk," "Today" and, of course, "The Late Show with David Letterman."
Letterman was a guest during Philbin's last week of "Live With Regis and Kelly" last year, when he congratulated the 80-year-old with a kiss on the lips.
