Ratings: Saving Hope Returns from Break With Bump, CW Sing-Off Has Little Next Appeal
NBC’s Saving Hope showed signs of life on Thursday night.
UPDATE: After flirting with season highs based on the fast nationals, the Nielsen finals show the summertime medical drama delivering its largest audience since June 14, hitting 3.3 million total viewers — up 17 percent from its last pre-Olympics outing.
Hope’s 0.6 demo rating, meanwhile, held steady, matching its best performance since June 28.

Also on the upside this Thursday was Big Brother, which with 6.3 mil and a 2.3 hit its best numbers since the season opener, up 25 percent from its previous, Olympics-tinged outing.
ABC’s Rookie Blue, at 10 o’clock, drew 5 mil and a 1.3, up 31 and 18 percent week-to-week but 13 percent shy of its last pre-Olympics performance.

Among the night’s premieres, ABC’s Time Machine Chef (?!) at 9 pm placed fourth in audience (with 3.5 mil) and third in the demo (1.2), while The CW’s The Next: Yada Yada Yada opened to fewer than 850,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating, losing audience from its repeat lead-in of Oh Sit.
