History's "Hatfields & McCoys" might chronicle one of the most famous feuds in American lore, but plenty of viewers are finding it agreeable.

The Kevin Costner-starring "Hatfields & McCoys" retained most of its jaw-dropping viewers for its second installment Tuesday night at 9 p.m., amassing 13.1 million total viewers, with 4.7 million of them in the advertiser-desired 18-49 demographic.

The maiden installment of the three-part miniseries Monday night amassed 13.9 million total viewers -- a new record for non-sports, ad-supported cable programs. (The previous record for scripted fare was set in 2001 by TNT's "Crossfire Trail," which drew 12.5 million total viewers, while CNN's 2008 telecast on election night drew 13.2 million total viewers.)

Monday's edition of "Hatfields & McCoys" -- which also stars Bill Paxton -- drew 4.8 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic.

The third and final installment of the miniseries airs Wednesday night at 9 p.m.
