The Voice was Tuesday's top-rated show, but Fox edged out NBC for the win in the demo thanks to Glee's Whitney Houston tribute.

Glee pulled in 6.8 million viewers and a 2.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, up three-tenths from last week. New Girl followed with 5.2 million and a 2.6, giving Fox an average of 5.5 million viewers and a 2.4.

The Voice (8.7 million, 3.2) was down a tenth, while The Biggest Loser (6.7 million, 2.2) was flat and Fashion Star (4.6 million, 1.6) rebounded from a series low. NBC averaged 6.7 million viewers and a 2.3.

On ABC, Cougar Town (4.9 million, 1.5) and Private Practice (8.35 million, 2.2) both grew, but Dancing with the Stars (14.1 million, 2.4) dipped a tad.

The series premiere of The CW's The L.A. Complex bowed to a meek 0.64 million viewers and a 0.3, shedding half of 90210's lead-in (1.16 million, 0.6) and performing worse than Ringer did in the slot.

CBS was in repeats.
