ABC’s special two-hour 20/20 broadcast, Bruce Jenner: The Interview, delivered (and hopefully enlightened the better part of) 16.9 million total viewers while scoring a 5.2 demo rating on Friday night.

That’s an increase of 300 percent and more than 400 percent versus the newsmagazine’s week-ago broadcast, delivering its best Friday numbers in more than 15 years (a March 2000 interview with John and Patsy Ramsey).

Opening ABC’s night, Shark Tank settled into its new time slot with 7.8 mil and a 1.7, up 20 and 13 percent week-to-week.

Elsewhere….

NBC | Grimm (4.7 mil/1.0) added a few eyeballs while steady in the demo.

CBS | Amazing Race (6 mil/1.1) and Hawaii Five-0 (8.3 mil/1.1) each added some viewers while steady in the demo; Blue Bloods (9.8 mil/1.0) slipped 5 percent and two tenths to season lows.

THE CW | Pending adjustment due to MLB preemptions in New York, Hartford and Chicago, Cedric’s Barber Battle (1.4 mil/0.4) rose from its premiere, Whose Line (1.3 mil/0.4) was flat and The Messengers (1.2 mil/0.4) ticked up a tenth.
