Ratings: Big Brother Returns Down, MasterChef Rises, ABC's Parents Ends on a Low Note

CBS’ Big Brother on Wednesday opened its door to 6.3 million total viewers, while scoring a 2.1 rating — numbers good enough to top and tie MasterChef in the 8 o’clock hour, yet off 12 and 19 percent from a year ago to match its circa-2008 low for a premiere.

BB15 was also down from the 14th edition’s finale, which did 7.4 mil/2.5.

Leading out of that, The American Baking Competition held steady in its new later time slot, drawing 5.1 mil and a 1.2.

Fox’s aforementioned MasterChef averaged 5.7 mil and a 2.3 rating, up a smidgen on both counts week-to-week.
