RATINGS RAT RACE: Fox’s ‘MasterChef’ Wins Demo Race For 11th Time In 13 Weeks

Fox’s MasterChef again took Wednesday night in the 18-49 and 18-34 demos among English-language broadcasters. Fox has ranked tops in 18-49 on 11 of the past 13 Wednesdays, since MasterChef debuted. But NBC won Wednesday in total viewers with America’s Got Talent. Versus same night last year, Talent originals are up 7% in total viewers — 9.2 million compared to 8.6 million last year — but down a tick in the demo year to year, which is typical of an aging competition series.

CBS’ Big Brother finished first in the 8 PM hour, (2.2 demo rating, 6.3 million viewers), against rerun competition. Big Brother was up a hair from the previous week’s demo ratings (2.0). NBC’s Talent (2.1 rating, 9.2 million viewers) took over at 9. And CBS took back the lead at 10 on both counts with a CSI repeat (1.1 rating, 5.9 million viewers), though NBC’s Camp was No. 1 in the hour among adults 18-34 and men 18-49. Fox wound up with a 1.7 rating and 4.2 million viewers for primetime. NBC logged a 1.4 rating and 6.2 million viewers, while CBS clocked a 1.4 rating and 5.8 million viewers. ABC lagged with a 0.8 rating and 3.1 million viewers. CW posted a 0.3 rating and 1.1 million viewers.
