The project, directed by Ridley Scott and penned by Paul Attanasio (House), is a provocative contemporary genre thriller about spirituality, power and politics – set against the modern-day political machinations within the Catholic Church.

Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) stars as the progressive Archbishop of New York, who causes a stir within the hierarchy of the Church. Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) plays his rebellious sister.

Ganz has appeared in the films The Reader, Unknown and Wings of Desire.
