Beauty and her beast just may get their happy ending after all.

Emilie de Ravin has been promoted to series regular on Once Upon a Time for Season 2, TVGuide.com has confirmed. TVLine.com first reported the news.

In Season 1, the 30-year-old actress portrayed Beauty and the Beast's Belle, whose Storybrooke counterpart was locked up in a mental institution by Regina (Lana Parrilla). She was sprung in the season finale and reunited with former love interest Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) just in time for him to release a whole new Smoke Monster set of problems for Season 2: the introduction of magic into the real world.

De Ravin, who is best known for playing Claire Littleton on ABC's Lost, appeared in three episodes during the first season. She was set to star in the drama pilot Americana, which failed to get a pickup at ABC.

Her promotion comes less than a week after co-star Meghan Ory, who plays Red Riding Hood, was also bumped up to series regular.

Once Upon a Time will return this fall on Sundays at 8/7c.
