NBCUniversal Promotes Maureen Murphy To Run E! And Esquire Network Ad Sales

NBC Execs Say Corporate Synergy And Olympics Will Help Shows Next Season

NEW YORK – May 6, 2013 – NBCUniversal today announced that longtime NBCUniversal executive Maureen Murphy has been promoted to Senior Vice President, E! and Esquire Network Advertising Sales. She will report to Laura Molen, Executive Vice President, Cable Advertising Sales, NBCUniversal. In her new role, Murphy will oversee advertising sales strategy and 360 integration agreements for E!, the pop culture powerhouse, as well as Esquire Network, a strategic partnership between NBCUniversal and Hearst Magazines launching this summer. A 13-year veteran of NBCUniversal, Murphy has held a variety of sales and marketing roles across the organization. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Daytime, Late Night and Primetime Specials Sales, NBCUniversal beginning in 2010. Prior to that, from 2006-2010, she was Vice President, Branded Entertainment and Marketing, NBC Entertainment. In that role, she was responsible for sales marketing, as well as the creation and execution of client 360 programs including in-show integrations, custom content and digital advertising sales across the NBC Entertainment properties. From 2003-2006, Murphy held account executive sales roles at NBC Primetime, Sports & Olympics, Network News and MSNBC. Additionally, from 2000-2003, Murphy worked in NBCUniversal’s marketing and network ad sales division where she was involved in NBC Connect, the company’s first cross-platform and marketing group.
