Following its recent rise in the ratings, NBC is putting some major faith into Community.

The network has moved the struggling sitcom's season finale to May sweeps — May 17 to be exact — and added another new episode to precede the hour-long back-to-back episodes that make up the finale, The Futon Critic reports.

This means that three new episodes of Community will air on May 17 — at 8/7c, 9/8c and 9:30/8:30c, bookending the Season 6 finale of 30 Rock at 8:30/7:30c.

The move is bad news for NBC's struggling drama, Awake, which had a two-hour finale scheduled to start at 9/8c on May 17. That two-hour finale has now been pushed to the following week, May 24, the day after the sweeps period ends.
