The Peacock network’s version of the tale moves the action to Paris, where young wife/mother-to-be Rosemary (played by Zoe Saldana, Star Trek) and her husband Guy (Adams) move into an apartment with a dark history. As time passes, Rosemary becomes convinced that her husband and neighbors have dastardly designs on her unborn child.
Isaacs co-stars as warlock/coven-leader Roman Castevet, a role played by Sidney Blackmer in Roman Polanski’s 1968 film based on the book. Guy, meanwhile, was portrayed by John Cassavetes.
Saldana will also co-executive-produce the four-hour project with a team that includes Joshua Maurer (Rubicon) and Lionsgate Television. Agnieszka Holland (Treme) will direct, with a script by Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge) and James Wong (American Horror Story).
