Nashville Scoop: Once's Cinderella Joins Cast as 's Daughter

Nashville is plotting a new Cinderella Story — this time with an actual Cinderella!

The ABC drama has cast Jessy Schram — AKA Once Upon a Time‘s “Ella” — to join the Season 4 cast in a major recurring role, TVLine has learned.

Schram will play Cash Gray, a singer songwriter who is just starting to come into her own, having co-written a few songs with Kacey Musgraves. She has recently re-connected with her formerly alcoholic and estranged musician father (and Deacon’s sponsor), Frankie. According to sources, Cash will eventually cross paths with Rayna (and rumor has it there may be some friction).

Schram will arrive in this season’s 10th episode which, coincidentally, is right around the time Juliette is set to vanish from the canvas ( to accommodate Hayden Panettiere real-life medical leave). But an insider maintains that the timing is just that — a coincidence. “The role of Cash was planned long before” Panettiere departed, maintains the source.

In addition Once, Schram’s TV-heavy resume also includes stints on Last Resort, Mad Men, Falling Skies and The Lizzie Borden Chronicles.
