Mindy Project Casts Ajay Mehta and Sakina Jaffrey as Mindy's Folks

Mindy Project fans, now we know who’s on the other side of the door Danny knocked on in the Season 3 finale.

Ajay Mehta (Royal Pains) and Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards) have been cast as Dr. Lahiri’s parents, E! Online reports.

In addition to Royal Pains, Mehta’s long resume includes Anger Management, Rectify and The Brink.

Jaffrey was Sheriff Lena Reyes in Sleepy Hollow‘s second season and has appeared on Third Watch and Heroes, among other series.

The pair join a Season 4 cast roster that includes Garret Dillahunt (Raising Hope) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, Hit Record on TV).

The Mindy Project will return later this year on its new home, Hulu.
