Michael Phelps is going to be a dad!
The Olympic gold medalist swimmer took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the exciting news that his fiancée, Nicole Johnson, is pregnant with their first child, a baby boy.

"We found out 8weeks ago we were expecting...," he captioned the cute photo of the couple holding a pair of baby swim Speedos. "Today we're over 12 weeks and it looks like we're having a boy!!! #babymp #mp #lifeabouttochange #mpswim."
Johnson shared the same photo to her account, adding, "We couldn't be happier!"
The swimmer and former Miss California USA 2010, both 30, announced their engagement over Instagram in February, after dating on and off since 2007.

"She said yes," Phelps wrote.
This happy news comes just weeks after Phelps admitted to Sports Illustrated that he was in a "dark place" following his second driving under the influence arrest in Sept. 2014. The dad-to-be's first DUI arrest was back in Nov. 2004, when he was 19 years old.
"I was in a really dark place ...not wanting to be alive anymore," he recalled. "I look back now ...I lived in a bubble for a long time."
"It's probably the most afraid I've ever felt in my life," he said of checking into a rehab facility center.
