Meghan Ory To Star In CBS’ ‘Intelligence’, Robert Buckley Cast In ‘Holding Patterns’

EXCLUSIVE: Once Upon A Time‘s Meghan Ory has been cast as the female lead opposite Josh Holloway in CBS’ drama pilot Intelligence, which co-stars Marg Helgenberger. Also joining the pilot, created/executive produced by Michael Seitzman, exec produced by Rene Echevarria and Tripp Vinson and directed/exec produced by David Semel, is P.J. Byrne. For Ory, who is a regular on Once, Intelligence is in first position. Both Once and Intelligence are produced by ABC Studios, which allowed the flexibility. After recurring heavily on Season 1 of Once, Ory was promoted to regular in part because of interest for pilots she received last season. Her character Ruby has not been as prominently featured in this season’s storylines as it was last season. Intelligence is centered at U.S. Cyber Command and focuses on a unit that has been created around one agent (Holloway) with a very special gift — a microchip has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Ory, repped by Gersh and Canada’s Pacific Artists, will play Riley O’Neil, an ex Secret Service taking on the challenge of protecting the nation’s top intelligence asset. Byrne, repped by Michael Greene & Associates, Principato-Young and attorney Michael Mahan, plays Nelson, a computer scientist working with Gabriel (Holloway) and Lillian (Helgenberger). He is the son of a computer genius who is struggling to make a name for himself.

666 Park Avenue alum Robert Buckley has been cast in NBC’s comedy pilot Holding Patterns, from writer Justin Spitzer, Peter Traugott’s TBD Prods and Universal TV. It is an ensemble multi-camera comedy about a group of friends whose lives completely change after they survive a plane crash. Buckley, repped by Interlink Management and WME, plays one of them, Chad, Griffin’s (Humphrey Ker) and Leah’s (Chyler Leight) arrogant, misogynistic friend, now a successful chick-lit author who returns home for the wedding. Buckley joins 666 Park Ave. co-stars Dave Annable and Rachael Taylor, who also have booked pilots.
