Martin Short to Host SNL's Christmas Show, With Paul McCartney as Musical Guest

SCTV's Martin Short, Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin to Reunite in NBC's Working the Engels

Martin Short will go home for the holidays when he hosts Saturday Night Live‘s live Christmas show.

The former Not Ready for Primetime Player will return for his third hosting stint, NBC announced Tuesday. In addition to his film career, Short’s TV credits include Weeds, Damages and How I Met Your Mother.

Paul McCartney will join Short for the former Beatle’s fourth appearance as a musical guest.

The episode — not to be confused with SNL Christmas, a compilation of the series’ holiday sketches airing Wednesday at 9/8c – will premiere Dec. 15 at 11:30 pm.

As previously reported, Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) will host the Dec. 8 SNL with musical guest Ne-Yo.
