Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon would like to introduce the two newest members of their family - son Moroccan Scott and daughter Monroe Cannon.
Four days after giving birth to the twins in Los Angeles, Mariah hit up her Twitter page on Wednesday to finally reveal the babies' names.
"Mariah & Nick reveal the names of #dembabies Monroe Cannon & Moroccan Scott Cannon!" a Tweet on her account read.
According to a statement on the singer's website, son Moroccan shares his middle name with his dad. Also, the top floor of Mariah's lavish New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room and is where Nick proposed to the singer.
Daughter Monroe was named after screen legend Marilyn Monroe, who has always inspired Mariah. Like her mother, the couple's daughter does not have a middle name.
On Monday, Mimi teased her fans with a hint of the impending announcement.
"So we r bout 2 reveal the actual names and b4 we tell em 2 our friends etc," she teased on her Twitter page earlier in the day on Tuesday. "both begin w/M's!!!!"
The singer responded to a few of her followers' guesses, but stopped short of officially announcing the names at the time.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the 41-year-old singing superstar gave birth to the twins at 12:07 PM EDT on Saturday at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles, Mariah's rep, Cindi Berger, told the Associated Press.
Monroe was reportedly born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; while Moroccan was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.
The twins came on the same day as the couple's fourth anniversary.
Following the birth of the couple's twins, Nick Tweeted, "My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life!...I won't ever be able to top this!"
The couple gave their first official confirmation of their pregnancy to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush back in October.
