Lethal Weapon — the 1987 film starring Danny Glover and Mel Gibson, which spawned three sequels — is being developed into an hourlong action series with a put pilot commitment at Fox, our sister site Deadline reports.
In the first Lethal Weapon movie, aging detective Roger Murtaugh (Glover) is partnered with a wild young narcotics officer named Martin Riggs (Gibson). Subsequent films in the franchise roped in an array of ’90s stars, including Rene Russo and Chris Rock.
Matt Miller, who created and executive-produced ABC’s Forever, will pen the script.
