It looks like Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) has his work cut out for him on the upcoming season of The Good Wife.

Kristin Chenoweth has snagged a recurring role on the acclaimed CBS drama as a top political journalist, CBS announced Tuesday. Chenoweth's character wants the inside scoop on Peter Florrick's campaign for governor, as well as his and Alicia's marriage. Their separate living arrangements are probably not going to look so good, huh? Chenoweth, 43, will make her debut on the show's Season 4 premiere.

The Good Wife taps Marc Warren as Kalinda's husband, Maura Tierney in recurring role

Chenoweth, an Emmy winner for her turn on Pushing Daisies, joins previously announced recurring guest stars Maura Tierney and Marc Warren. Chenoweth earned two Emmy nominations for her Glee guest spot as the boozy glee club alum April Rhodes and most recently starred in ABC's short-lived primetime soap, GCB. She is currently on tour in support of her latest album, Some Lessons Learned.

Are you excited to see Chenoweth go toe-to-toe with the Florricks and — here's hoping — Eli?
