Royal Baby Watch 2015 is over!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have welcomed a baby girl, royal officials announced Saturday.

Kensington Palace released a statement that the Duchess had "safely" delivered a daughter at 8:34 a.m. local time, just a couple of hours after she was admitted to the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital.

The little girl, whose name had not yet been released, weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces and joins older brother Prince George, born in July 2013. Both mother and daughter are dong well, according to the Palace. And in case there was any worry, Prince William was present for the birth of his second child.

The full statement was also posted to Twitter. It reads, "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at8.34am. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry & members of both families have been informed. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

The princess is fourth in line to the throne and the fifth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II. She made her debut Saturday evening. See her first photos below!
