Time to bust out your cassette player -- we've finally got some new Guardians of the Galaxy info!

Screenwriter/director James Gunn did a Q&A on Wednesday using Periscope, a new social media platform that combines Snapchat and Twitter. He revealed some details about the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which he will also write and direct.

The most hilariously honest trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy

One of the big reveals was that Nebula will be back in the sequel. The last time we saw Karen Gillan's character, she was flying away in a spaceship after being defeated by her adopted sister Gamora (Zoe Saldana). Gunn said they may have come up with a way for Gillan to reprise Nebula without having to shave her head again.

Also, according to Gunn, the script is very far along -- he's already turned the treatment into Marvel Studios. Fans should also expect a major tone shift from the first movie. Production begins in February of next year.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is set to premiere on May 5, 2017.
