Jimmy Kimmel loves asking people questions they can’t possibly know the answers to, and he had no trouble finding a variety of folks willing to weigh in on President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address hours before he delivered it.

In Tuesday’s edition of regular segment “Lie Witness News” (above), the late-night host explained he sent his crew onto Hollywood Blvd. on Monday and earlier that afternoon to put people pretending to care about politics to the test.

After trying their hardest to formulate an opinion based on nothing, a few brave souls admitted they didn’t actually watch the speech. An even braver soul maintained he really did watch at least “half of it” it in a hotel room with his wife when Kimmel’s correspondent asked, “So you’re not lying?”

Others took the opportunity to shun House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner and Vice President Joe Biden for falling asleep in the middle of the televised event — that wasn’t actually televised yet.

“I was pretty shocked when I saw [Joe Biden} fall asleep. That was not good,” one man says. “He was kind of nodding off, like he was on drugs. Maybe?”
