Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum became a first-time parent with wife Emilie Livingston over the holiday weekend.

The date is especially significant for the 62-year-old Oscar-nominated actor who famously starred in the 1996 blockbuster Independence Day and is currently in production for Independence Day: Resurgence.
Goldblum and Livingston, 32, tied the knot on Nov. 8 at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. In January, Goldblum announced the pregnancy on The Late Show With David Letterman.

"We picked out a name as a matter of fact," Goldblum said. "This is our current thinking, Elliot Charlie, Elliot Charlie Goldblum."
While the name changed slightly, the due date remained the same. Goldblum confirmed to James Corden on The Late Late Show in April that the baby was due on the holiday.
