IFC Renews ‘Portlandia’ for Two More Seasons

IFC has made a double investment in “Portlandia” as it renews the comedy for a fourth and fifth season.

Cabler has ordered 10 halfhour episodes from Broadway Video for each new season, and is slating the runs for early 2014 and early 2015.

“‘Portlandia’ has celebrated sustainable local agriculture, underemployment, avian crafting, gender politics, intense bicycle messengers and so much more,” said Jennifer Caserta, president and general manager of IFC. “We can now celebrate two more seasons.”

“Portlandia” is created and penned by Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, the stars of the show, and Jonathan Krisel, the skein’s helmer. Program is exec produced by Lorne Michaels.
