‘Hunger Games’ Star Liam Hemsworth Talks Real-Life Childhood Hunger Games on ‘Late Night’ (Video)

“The Hunger Games” are painful, but so was Liam Hemsworth’s childhood.

The youngest of the Hemsworth brothers, including actors Chris (“Thor”) and Luke, told Jimmy Fallon on Thursday’s “Late Night” that he experienced a real-life Hunger Games scenario when he was shot by Luke.

“My brother Luke, my oldest brother, came up to me with an air rifle and he said, ‘Run,’” Hemsworth told Fallon (above).

He then compared the moment he got hit with a lead pellet with the moment Willem Dafoe dies in “Platoon.”

“That was the first bit of acting I ever did,” Hemsworth added. “Except it was real — it was method.”

While promoting “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” Hemsworth also demonstrated his dangerous hobby of playing a game called “Fiver Finger Fillet” (Russian roulette with a knife and his fingers, basically), and raced Fallon around the studio on top of a beer cooler scooter.
