'The Hunger Games' DVD Gets a Release Date
After a record-breaking box office run, The Hunger Games will arrive on Blu-Ray, DVD, On Demand and digital download on August 18.
The 2-disc Blu-Ray and 2-disc DVD will come with over three hours of bonus materials including an eight-part documentary titled The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games, a sit-down conversation with director Gary Ross, as well as featurettes that examine the global success of the books, the creation of the control room in the film and the filmmakers' motivation behind creating new scenes that were not in the book and more.

The midnight launch is expected to bring back lines of die-hard fans at special midnight retail events nationwide.
The Hunger Games has already grossed nearly $400 million at the North American box office and is approaching $650 million at the worldwide box office.

Catching Fire, The Hunger Games' sequel, will be directed by Francis Lawrence and is scheduled to be released November 2013.
