5 Ways to Be an Even Bigger 'Game of Thrones' Nerd

Drink "GoT" beer, wear a "GoT" watch, and sit on the Iron Throne.

"Game of Thrones" Season 3

As a loud and proud "Game of Thrones" nerd, you would know which house you'd belong to (duh, Tyrell!), chart the growth of Daenerys Targaryen's dragons, commiserate with fellow fans on Twitter about certain deaths (Ros!), and have researched what all the cast members did before the show (Bronn was a British pop star!).

There are only two more episodes of "Game of Thrones" left this season (sob), and it's off this Sunday for Memorial Day (double sob), but no matter — you can have a little fire and ice every single day. What can hold you over until you get your next "GoT" fix? Well, you can read the books, of course. But if you've already done that, or you don't want to spoil the show for yourself, here are five other ways to be an even bigger "Game of Thrones" nerd:

1. Drink the beer.

The characters on "Game of Thrones" like to throw back a few pints (or in Tyrion's case, a keg), and if you want to drink along with them, choose a special show-themed beverage.

Brewery Ommegang partnered with HBO on a special "Game of Thrones"-inspired brew. The Iron Throne blond ale is a light, crisp, citrusy beer modeled after the Lannisters," noted Phil Leinhart, Ommegang's brewmaster.

It's not that easy to get, though. Check Ommegang's beer finder to see if Iron Throne blond ale is being sold near you.

2. Sit on the Iron Throne.

It's a "throne," get it? Mad magazine and many others have made the joke about the Iron Throne being a toilet. But thanks to Etsy, you can actually bring that joke to life! Get this large decal and stick it right over your toilet.

And you won't have to fight a war to sit on the Iron Throne every day.

3. Stay on Westeros time.

OK, only a Lannister could afford this next item: a special limited-edition timepiece created by Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin. The Night's Watch is a marine diver made of stainless steel with red and black accents that can withstand the harshest environments (like going north of the Wall).

Alas, it's $10,500 and there were only 25 of them made. Time to call the Bank of Braavos!

4. Throw a "Game of Thrones" wedding.

You may not be able to plan a "Game of Thrones"-inspired wedding for over $9 million like Facebook tech billionaire Sean Parker, but you can include some small, DIY touches like:

  • Name your reception tables after the major Houses (Lannister, Stark, Baratheon) or their principal seats (Winterfell, the Eyrie, Highgarden).

  • Serve Ned Stark's head on a pike as a cake pop.

  • Call each other "moon of my life" and "my sun and stars" in your vows.

5. Face off against other fans.

Think you know "Game of Thrones"? Prove it at a nationwide pub quiz held by Geeks Who Drink. The quiz will feature questions from both the HBO series and the books (though there will be no spoilers after the end of Season 3).

Sign up with a team of six for a chance to win cash. The quiz takes place June 8 in Austin, Denver, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, and other cities.
