‘House of Lies’ Improv Show Offers New Year’s Laughs
Showtime’s “House of Lies” is about fast-talking management consultants who have to be quick on their feet to close deals and gain clients, so it’s only fitting that the Don Cheadle comedy would tease its third season with a long-form improv special.
Taped live at Los Angeles’ Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, “House of Lies Live!” shows Cheadle and fellow cast members Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz and Josh Lawson trading quips with season three guest stars Lauren Lapkus, Ryan Gaul and Eugene Cordero.
The online version of the special will be available December 30 via SHO.com, the network’s YouTube channel, iTunes and through the Showtime Previews app for smartphones and tablets. Fans watching on television can catch it at 10 p.m. December 31. A teaser for the special is available at the end of this article.
The third season of “House of Lies” premieres at 10 p.m. January 12.
