Here's Katie! What the First Promo for Couric's Daytime Talk Show Reveals
The first promo for Katie, the new daytime talker fronted by veteran news reporter Katie Couric, is making rounds, and the No. 1 takeaway would appear to be that, gosh darn it, she is brighter than the sun.

As seen in this 30-second teaser, the onetime Today cohost is all smiles and sunshine as she interacts with a veritable cornucopia of women and rugrats, and even a pooch for good measure.
You’ll also learn that if you bump into her in Central Park, she’ll gladly pose with you for a cell phone snapshot, and maybe even row you across the lake. (Girl’s apparently been working her triceps kickbacks!) And if you’re gonna chill with her over a tall, cold daytime beverage, it appears that Couric is partial to a diet cola or maybe iced tea. (The video evidence is inconclusive.) Oh, and she likes flowers!
As for her stilted sign-off at the end, why does it sound like the Simpsons episode where a TV interview with Homer got sliced-and-diced?

Couric’s talker, which is cleared to air in 95 percent of the United States and on mostly ABC affiliates, premieres Sept. 10.
