Harrison Ford Reacts to Donald Trump

While on an Australian press tour to promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Harrison Ford was asked about comments made by Donald Trump. In an article by the New York Times, Trump said, “My favorite was Harrison Ford on the plane,” referencing Ford’s portrayal of a fictional U.S. president in the film Air Force One. Trump went on to say, “I love Harrison Ford — and not just because he rents my properties. He stood up for America.”

In response to that, Ford said, “Donald, it was a movie. It’s not like this in real life. But how would you know?”

In addition to calling out Trump during the press tour, Ford was asked about Trump’s statement during an interview with Jorge Ramos. Ford said, “I really didn’t think it was such a good apartment. I didn’t think it was great architecture. I just needed some place convenient. And Donald Trump, the Donald Trump that owned that building, is not the same Donald Trump that I’m seeing now.”

See Harrison Ford talking about why his wife, Calista Flockhart, is OK with him flying again after he crashed a plane he was flying earlier this year.

And see Donald Trump tell Regis and Kathy Lee that he has no interest in entering politics back in 1989.
