Grey's Anatomy is really trying to drive home the point that Cristina and Meredith are on the outs. Note to Shonda Rhimes: We get it. With Sandra Oh slated to leave at the end of the season, the ABC medical drama has been laying the groundwork for a big falling out between Meredith and Cristina that would make the latter's exit seem plausible. Thursday's episode pushed the twisted sisters to the brink after Cristina tampered with Meredith's 3D printer.
When Cristina's new protégé Shane pushes her to use the 3D printer to save their patient's life, Cristina proposes it to Meredith and gets shot down. That's because Meredith has been reeling ever since Cristina told her she can't be both a good surgeon and a mom. As a result, Mer oversteps in a surgery that could cost Alex's patient his life all because she's determined to prove that she can be both.
Because Meredith blew her off, Cristina takes matters into her own hands and stops the 3D printer so she can start her own project — and Mer catches her red-handed. Get ready for a big blowup!
Elsewhere at the hospital, Webber finally got himself out of his hospital bed, April and Matthew almost had sex before their wedding, Bailey oddly started to show signs of being OCD, and Callie turned Emma's job interview into a therapy session of sorts, which lead toher not to take the job at Grey Sloan.

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC.
