Fox Pilot News: Old Christine Alum Is Chris Meloni's Wife in Bill Lawrence Comedy

The New Adventures of Old Christine‘s Alex Kapp Horner has joined Fox’s currently untitled comedy adaptation of Justin Halpern’s book, I Suck at Girls.

Horner will play Joanne Dunlevy, wife to Chris Meloni’s Jack, in the single-camera pilot from Cougar Town‘s Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold and $#*! My Dad Says‘ Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.

The project tells the story of “a boy becoming a man and a man becoming a father, in a time before ‘coming of age’ was something you could Google.”

After years of deftly raising and running her family, Horner’s Joanne goes back to law school, leaving her husband as a full-time parent for the first time.

Horner played Lindsay on Old Christine; her credits also include Happy Endings, Drop Dead Diva, ER and Seinfeld.

In addition, the series rounded out its series regular cast with Kevin Hernandez (My Name Is Earl) and Tyler Foden (iCarly) as Frankie Dunlevy’s best friends George and Mikey, respectively.
