'Fox and Friends': 'Outrageous' of Obama to Meet With MSNBC Hosts (Video)
The hosts of "Fox and Friends" say it's "outrageous" that President Obama held a briefing for the left-wing hosts of MSNBC.
"To invite five talk show hosts in? All from the same channel? That's outrageous," Brian Kilmeade said Wednesday after Obama reportedly met with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Al Sharpton, Lawrence O'Donnell, and Ed Schultz. He also met with Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, who is not, in fact, a talk-show host.
"It might be outrageous, but what I'm saying is I'm not surprised by it at all," responded Gretchen Carlson. "That station is delivering the message of this administration so it makes sense."
"That particular channel, that's all they're gonna do anyway," Steve Doocy added.
The "Fox and Friends" hosts' outrage at a president and a channel potentially working together comes two days after a report that their boss, Fox News head Roger Ailes, tried to secretly recruit Gen. David Petraeus to run against Obama.
Ailes told The Washington Post's Bob Woodward, who broke the story, that the attempt was "more of a joke, a wiseass way I have."
