Fox’s ‘Cosmos’ to Screen at the White House
Fox and National Geographic Channel will host a special preview of “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” at the White House on Friday, Feb. 28, as part of the first-ever White House Student Film Festival.
The festival, which will take place in the East Room, celebrates the Obama Administration’s commitment to using technology in the classroom.
As part of the event, President Barack Obama will deliver remarks detailing progress toward his ConnectED goal of connecting 99 percent of students to next-generation broadband and wireless technology within five years.

More than 100 students, teachers and parents will attend the film festival and preview the first episode of “Cosmos,” which will be introduced by writer, executive producer and director Ann Druyan.
Additionally, renowned astrophysicist and show host Neil deGrasse Tyson will introduce one of the student short films. Executive producer Mitchell Cannold and executive producer and director Brannon Braga also will be in attendance.
The hour-long “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” will debut simultaneously across multiple U.S. Fox networks on Sunday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
