Exclusive Sneak Peek: Sarah Chalke Learns 'How to Live With Your Parents' [Video]
The new ABC comedy flips traditional parent roles.
ABC's new spring comedy "How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)" follows the uptight adult daughter, Polly (Sarah Chalke from "Scrubs"), of two wildly unconventional parents -- Max (Brad Garrett from "Everybody Loves Raymond") and Elaine (Elizabeth Perkins from "Weeds"). When financial struggles force newly divorced Polly and her young daughter to move back in with her folks, wackiness (obviously) ensues.

In this exclusive clip, Polly and her freewheeling mom, Elaine, are having a very frank mother-daughter chat about Polly's childhood, which Elaine dares to call "perfectly normal." A flashback reveals her hippie parents informing little Polly that they're headed to a "key party" (i.e., an orgy). Naturally, Polly contends that hearing about her parents' sex-capades wasn't normal. "I'm perfectly comfortable talking about sex. Maybe it's a generational thing," her mom says.
Polly is clearly less adventurous in that department than her folks are and takes a jab at her mom, saying, "I'm a responsible mother who puts her daughter first, and that means setting healthy, normal, healthy boundaries." Ouch. Finding common ground is going to be tough for this out-of-sync family.
"How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)" premieres on Wednesday, 4/3 at 9:30 PM on ABC.
