Exclusive: Elementary Recruits Callie Thorne
Elementary‘s Captain Gregson is in for a little bit of Roughness.
Callie Thorne, who plays therapist Dani Santino on USA’s Necessary Roughness, will guest star on CBS’ contemporary Sherlock Holmes drama as Gregson’s former partner, sources tell TVLine exclusively.
Her character, Terry D’Amico, is a veteran NYPD detective who shows up in Episode 6 amid discussion that she and the captain (Aidan Quinn) imprisoned the wrong man for a string of deadly home invasions years ago.

Prior to Roughness, Thorne played Jimmy’s widow Sheila on Rescue Me. Her other TV credits include The Wire, Prison Break, Burn Notice and Californication.

It doesn’t take Holmesian powers of deduction to come to the conclusion that if Thorne’s USA series isn’t renewed for another season – which is a definite possibility – she might make a rather nice addition to the new show’s cast.
