Emmys 2012: What Should Win Best Costumes For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special?

PBS and HBO have dominated the Emmy race for Outstanding Costumes For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special for seven years running — with five wins for the former, two for the latter — and both networks have horses in the race again in 2012.

Can PBS score its fourth consecutive win with Great Expectations (“Part 2″) or Sherlock: A Scandal In Belgravia, or could HBO be back at the podium for the first time since 2008′s John Adams thanks to Hemingway & Gellhorn?

Three other newtworks, though, have an eye on breaking up the PBS-HBO stranglehold on the category. FX takes its best shot with American Horror Story (“Halloween, Part 1″), History enters the race with Hatfields & McCoys (“Part 1″), and Syfy aims for Emmy glory with Treasure Island (“Part 1″).
