It took the World Series on Fox to challenge the Monday night dominance of NBC’s “The Voice” and “The Blacklist.”

NBC has won the last five Mondays in both the key 18-49 demographic and total viewers. On Monday, NBC tied Fox in the demo and was third — behind Fox and ABC — in total viewers. ABC barely edged it out, according to preliminary numbers.

Both Fox and NBC had a 3.8/10 in the demo. Due to the nature of live sports, Fox’s numbers are approximate. It was first in total viewers with 13.2 million. ABC had 12.21 million total viewers, and NBC had 12.2 million.

At 8, NBC’s “The Voice” earned a 4.2/11 — making it the most-watched telecast of the night — and 13 million viewers. “The Blacklist” at 10 received a 3.1/8 and 10.7 million viewers.

ABC was in fourth in ratings with a 2.0/5. “Dancing With the Stars” at 8 earned a 2.0/5 and 13 million viewers. At 10, “Castle” received a 2.1/5 and 10.7 million viewers.

Univision was in fifth in ratings with a 1.3/3 and in viewers with 3.3 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/1 and in total viewers 1.2 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 999,000. “Hart of Dixie” at 8 earned a 0.4/1 and 1.1 million viewers. At 9, “Beauty and the Beast” received a 0.3/1 and 866,000 viewers.

(For the record: An earlier version of this story said the World Series broke NBC’s five-week winning streak, but NBC actually tied Fox in the demo.)
