A&E Rolls Out ‘Duck Dynasty’ Mobile Gaming App

A&E has found a new way to cash in on its bearded men, partnering with Red Interactive Agency for a “Duck Dynasty” iOS game.

“Duck Dynasty: Battle of the Beards” challenges fans of the redneck reality juggernaut to master the day-to-day tasks and antics of the bearded Duck Commander crew. Elements of the game include: hunting squirrels, frogs and ducks; building duck calls and packing them for shipment; helping Willie dye his beard to protect his youthful image; and a doughnut toss into Uncle Si’s mouth.

Users will also be able to design their own custom “Duck Dynasty” avatars and share photos from the game on Facebook.

App is available for purchase in the iTunes App Store for $.99 for iPhones, and $1.99 for iPads.

Roll out of the “Battle of the Beards” mobile game follows “Duck Dynasty’s” record-shattering return to A&E’s primetime lineup. The debut of season four of the Gurney Prods. series drew 11.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched nonfiction cable broadcast ever. In addition to a mobile game, “Duck Dynasty” swag includes the family’s duck calls, apparel, bobbleheads, home decor and bearded Chia pets.
