Simmons said that he decided to bring the show to an end due to other commitments, including a Kiss tour and his other business obligations.

"It has been a wonderful, life-altering experience for our family, and after seven successful seasons, we feel it's time to move on," Simmons, Tweed, and their children Sophie and Nick said in a collective statement. "A big thank you to A&E for allowing us to tell our story. ... This is not the end of our story, it's the beginning of a new chapter."
