David Gregory Confirms ‘Meet the Press’ Exit: I'm Humbled and Grateful
After months of speculation, David Gregory has confirmed that he is leaving NBC's “Meet The Press.”
Gregory made his announcement Thursday on Twitter. “I leave NBC as I came – humbled and grateful,” he tweeted. Then in a second tweet, Gregory thanked viewers and wished his NBC News colleagues well.

Earlier on Thursday, CNN Money reported that Chuck Todd would replace Gregory as “Meet the Press” moderator, a move assumed by many. Politico's Mike Allen reported earlier this week that Todd was the “likely successor” to Gregory.
Gregory became host of “Meet the Press” six years ago, following the death of previous moderator, Tim Russert. Todd is NBC News’ political director and hosts “Daily Rundown,” which airs in the 9 o'clock hour on MSNBC.
