Childrens Hospital Cast Escalates War With NTSF:SD:SUV:: Rivals: 'We Will Kick Your %#@!'

A day on the set of Adult Swim’s Childrens Hospital can pretty zany, to say the least. Take cast member Erinn Hayes’ recent example, in which she made out with onscreen hubby Richard Kind, did the nasty (on a toilet!) with Justin Kirk and smooched Weird Al Yankovic in a tree.

But it’s not all just fun and games and intriguing guest stars, as Hayes and comrades Lake Bell and David Wain told Michael Ausiello in TVLine’s Comic-Con Suite. While the trio promised a Season 5 roster of visitors that will include Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Louis CK, Jon Hamm, Madonna, Rihanna, Freddie Mercury and Nick Offerman (um, at least one of those might be a bit of a mistruth), there’s also a new set, a new setting (a U.S. Army base in Japan) and a resolution to the cliffhanger in which Rob Cordry’s Dr. Blake Downs was “definitively shot dead.”

And of course, there’s the matter of Childrens Hospital‘s ongoing rivalry with the cast of their network comrades from NTSF:SD:SUV:: – which began last year right in TVLine’s Comic-Con suite. (Click here for the evidence.) While Wain tries initially to brush it all off with a kumbaya attitude, the conversation quicly turns to taunts, threats and profanity — all in the name of comedy, we think of course!

Childrens Hospital returns this Thursday (midnight/11c). Share your excitement level in the comments!
