CBS Television Distribution Names New SVP Of Digital Licensing

LOS ANGELES – March 25, 2013 — Robert Schildhouse is joining CBS Television Distribution as Senior Vice President, Digital Licensing and Distribution, it was announced today by Armando Nuñez, President and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group, to whom Schildhouse will directly report.

In this newly-created position, Schildhouse will formulate strategies for CTD’s first-run series with new and emerging distribution platforms in the digital arena. Schildhouse will also work for Scott Koondel, CBS Corp.’s Chief Corporate Content Licensing Officer, supporting Koondel’s efforts on domestic digital licensing of CBS’ vast programming library, including content from CBS Television Studios, Showtime, CBS News, CBS Television Distribution and CBS Films.

Schildhouse joins CTD from Hulu, where he served as co-head of content acquisition for the online video streaming service since 2008. He was responsible for numerous new content partnerships for Hulu.com and Hulu Plus, including with Univision for the initial launch of Hulu’s Spanish language business, Hulu Latino; WWE programming on Hulu Plus; and Broadway Video, which produced Hulu’s first animated original series. Previously, Schildhouse worked at Yahoo! and Motricity in various roles.
