CBS is teaming with Litton Entertainment to create a new Saturday morning programming block dubbed "The CBS Dream Team, It's Epic!" The three-hour block, announced by CBS on Tuesday, will consist of six half-hour shows dedicated to delivering a "pro-social" message targeted to viewers age 13 to 16.

Among the offerings are shows from former professional boxer Laila Ali and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.

The shows, which are FCC educational/informational compliant, will "offer uplifting, educational and entertaining messages on subjects of interest to teenage audiences," according to the network. Topics will include pet adoption and animal care, healthy eating makeovers, personal interest stories about people who've accomplished extraordinary things and sports, with stories about athletes making a positive impact in their communities.

"CBS is excited to partner with Litton on these terrific new shows that combine entertainment with uplifting pro-social messages that will make CBS Saturday morning destination viewing for young audiences," said Angelica McDaniel, Senior Vice President, Daytime, CBS Entertainment.

Among the shows is "Lucky Dog," in which animal trainer Brandon McMillan will swoop into animal shelters to rescue problem dogs and bring them to his Lucky Dog Ranch training facility to transform them into perfect pets.

There's also "Dr. Chris Pet Vet," starring Dr Chris Brown delivers "a unique insight into the life of one of the world's busiest vets and the animals he devotes his days to caring and treating."

On the culinary front, "Recipe Rescue" will find chefs facing off in a head-to-head competition to transform families' high-calorie, family-style recipes into low-calorie, healthy fare.

"All in With Laila Ali" will feature former pro boxer Ali scouring the globe and tracking down the world's most compelling stories, profiling inspirational people, groundbreaking achievements and extraordinary lifestyles.

Former "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" host Jamie Oliver will preside over "Jamie Oliver's 15 Minute Meals," on which he'll teach viewers how to cook meals that are "fast, fun and most of all flavorful."

The new Saturday morning block will premiere Sept. 28.
