CBS Announces Fall 2015 Premiere Dates for Supergirl, Hawaii Five-0, The Good Wife, and More

Summer hasn't even officially begun, but it's already time to start planning your fall viewing schedules. CBS is first out of the gate this year in terms of networks announcing premiere dates for fall programming, and once again, thanks to the addition of Thursday Night Football to the network's lineup, we're looking at a few weeks' worth of rollouts.

The fall season officially kicks off (that's a technical term for those unfamiliar with football) on Thursday, September 17 at 8:25pm when the Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs, but pre-game programming will begin at 7:30pm. Everything else a.k.a. the good stuff, doesn't debut until the following week, when on Monday, September 21, the new season of The Big Bang Theory officially launches the network's scripted programming slate at 8pm, followed by the new family comedy Life in Pieces at 8:30pm. The new seasons of Scorpion and NCIS: Los Angeles then follow at 9pm and 10pm, respectively. And here's where it gets tricky, because CBS's brand new series Supergirl launches itself into your TV sets behind an all-new episode of The Big Bang Theory on Monday, October 26 at 8:30pm, before moving to its regular timeslot of Mondays at 8pm on Monday, November 2.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs and the rest of the NCIS team still anchor the network's Tuesday night lineup. Season 13 premieres Tuesday, September 22 at 8pm. Season 2 of NCIS: New Orleans airs at 9pm and leads into the the series premiere of the new drama Limitless, with a special appearance by Bradley Cooper, at 10pm.

The 90-minute Season 31 premiere of Survivor will debut Wednesday, September 23, followed by the 90-minute season finale of the summer reality show Big Brother at 9:30pm. Starting the following week on Wednesday, September 30, Season 11 of Criminal Minds will take over the 9pm slot, followed by the new medical drama Code Black at 10pm.

Thursdays will be reserved for football until November 5, when The Big Bang Theory returns to Thursday nights at 8pm. The comedy Life in Pieces will also make the move and hope to retain the long-running comedy's audience at 8:30pm. Meanwhile, the third season of Mom premieres at 9pm and leads into the new Maggie Lawson/Jane Lynch comedy Angel From Hell at 9:30pm. Season 4 of Elementary, now with more John Noble, will then debut at 10pm.

Season 27 of The Amazing Race kicks off the network's Friday night programming on Friday, September 25 at 8pm, followed by Hawaii Five-0 at 9pm and Blue Bloods at 10pm.

On Sunday, September 27, a 90-minute edition of 60 Minutes (insert mindblown emoji here) will lead into the two-hour series finale of CSI at 9pm. The new seasons of Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, and CSI: Cyber will debut the following week on Sunday, October 4 beginning at 8pm.
