Tennessee resident and longtime animal rights activist Carrie Underwood was quick to share her outrage when the state passed an "ag gag" bill last week. The ordinance prohibits undercover videos of farms, thus helping to hide animal cruelty, food and labor safety violations.
"Shame on TN lawmakers for passing the Ag Gag bill. If Gov. Bill Haslam signs this, he needs to expect me at his front door. Who's with me?" Underwood wrote.

Republican state Rep. Andy Holt responded to her criticism, telling the local NBC affiliate, "I would say that if Carrie Underwood will stick to singing, I'll stick to lawmaking."
"I should stick to singing?" Underwood fired back on Twitter. "Wow...sorry, I'm just a tax paying citizen concerned for the safety of my family."
