Bobby Cannavale could be doing a little more rockin' and rollin' in the future.

Cannavale, who played Nucky Thompson's adversary Giuseppe "Gyp" Rosetti on HBO's Prohibition drama "Boardwalk Empire," is in negotiations to star in a possible second series for the network.

As-yet-entitled, the project follows the exploits of a cocaine-fueled record executive in New York City circa 1977, when punk, disco and a new form of music called hip-hop collided.

The series, in development with the network, is being executive produced by "Boardwalk Empire" veterans Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter, along with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.

Victoria Pearman and Rick Yorn are also executive producing, with Winter writing the pilot and Scorsese attached to direct, as he did with the "Boardwalk" pilot.
