The Biggest Loser Recap: 'Lead By Example'
'The Biggest Loser,' episode 'Lead By Example' -- NBC
Week five of "The Biggest Loser" threw the contestants a twist!
Host Allison Sweeney revealed that the weight lost by only one contestant from each team, determined by the roll of a dice, would count at the Weigh In, which caused Team Blue's Gina to get emotional thinking about the possibility of having to carry her team. Trainer Bob used the incident to encourage Gina to face her fears.
At The Challenge, one contestant was selected to compete (Jackson, Gina and Danni) at the Calorie Crush challenge, where they navigated an obstacle course. Danni finished first, and won a package full of letters from her family.
Next, we checked in with "Biggest Loser" kids Sunny, Biingo and Lindsay, who were busy organizing events and activities in their communities. Sunny created a circuit training course, Biingo tried to get more kids involved in his after-school sports club and Lindsay gave a speech on bullying at her school, where she was joined by singer Cody Simpson, who performed for the kids.
During the Last Chance Workout, Team Red trained with Laila Ali, Team White (with only Danni remaining) went to Subway with Jillian (where they learned about healthy food options) and then worked out on a parkour training center. Team Blue stayed in the gym with Bob for an intense workout.
At the Weigh In, it was determined that Joe, Danni and Jeff would be representing their respective teams.
Team Red hit the scale first. Jackson dropped 1 lb. Francelina lost 7 lbs. and Joe worked off 8 lbs.
Danni for Team White went next, where she lost 6 lbs. keeping her safe.
Team Blue was last to go, where Gina dropped 4 lbs., Alex lost 3 lbs., David also lost 3. lbs. and Michael melted away 8 lbs. Jeff weighed in last, and had to drop 9 lbs. to keep his team safe. He only lost 6 lbs. and Blue found themselves up for elimination for the first time.
Team Blue voted off David with three votes cast for him.
At the Check In, David is seen back home and has lost a total of 87 lbs. He is now wearing his old police uniform and his looking good.
